Actually don’t understand why this place isn’t getting a higher rating - I ordered the potato and bacon soup for a casual brunch and was blown away how delicious it was! The portion was enough for me to skip lunch, especially when it came with a piece of buttered toast on the side - perfect for chilly Melbourne days. Would love to visit again :)

Soup is tasty serving in big bowl and two slices of bread. Good value. Small sitting along the narrow walking street, liveable ambience dining in the tourist spot.

We were in search of good coffee in Melbourne as apparently Melb has great coffees, but we have been disappointed by many which we have tried, expect this place.Unfortunately we did not have the chance to come back to try the food here, but the coffee we got to go was very satisfying. Will definitely come by when we return to Melbourne next time.

I really don't understand the one star reviews. This man is compassionate. And if there were more shop owners like this there'd be less hungry people. Doing it tough a bowl of soup is a million dollars. I had nothing to eat for a week and told people pay for homeless. So me and my brother went there vegi and lentil soup was freely given. I didn't have to explain my situation. I was welcomed by staff and owner. I didn't feel judged. Whether your doing it rough or just touring Melbourne definitely this is a must. Also when I have money those who have pay to go soup I will buy for another. It's just humanity. Thanks guys. I love the soup

The soup is really delicious and remind me of my visit to Peru! I ordered the spicy chicken soup but it was not spicy to me, I usually order little spicy option.

Dropped in to the soup place in the late afternoon as well were hanging out to try the soup here. Great selection on offer, staff are friendly, helpful and soaked up the atmosphere of the bustling iconic laneway. We shared a couple of soups and best of all was both were full of flavour and veggies will be back to try other soups. …

Pretty decent range of options and taste for how much it only costs! I always go for the soup and salad combo and if you ask very nicely, and it's not crazy busy, they are also happy to mix two soups or two salads in the one bowl. It's like getting 4 different flavours!!!

I have been looking for a place to try pumpkin soup during my visit. I had a pumpkin soup and a flat white coffee in the early afternoon. It's a smaller place in a little alleyway; it's very quaint, though. Just know there are not a lot of tables and so you may want to get your food as take-away if it's during q busy time. My server was friendly, and I enjoyed my soup and coffee.
